Partnership for Community Awareness

KCFEC Supports Union Station

In 2009 KCFEC paired up with Union Station Exhibits to promote "Dialogue in the Dark," a unique, multisensory experience into the world without sight. As part of the exhibit's advisory board, KCFEC helped bring relevant vision education programming to Kansas City. The exhibit's community partners included Kansas City Eye Foundation, Children's Mercy Hospital, Black Healthcare Coalition , Sabates Eye Centers, National Federation of Blind, AlphaPointe, The Whole Person, Kansas School of the Blind, Children's Center for the Visually Impaired, and Allied Workers for the Blind.

In the future, KCFEC hopes to continue supporting efforts to raise awareness in the city.
